LPG Cylinder Valve and regulator Change- some common question and answers

Gas Pressure is low or flame is low
The new regulator pressure is set to 29 mbar (adopted world wide as per International standard for domestic / household use for enhanced safety) as compared to previous F-valve regulators which may have been giving output up to 1 bar. Hence there may be a decrease in flame size. However earlier while the gas / energy was being wasted, with the new regulator, the required flame /heat is got and at the same time gas is conserved. Gas consumption will reduce.

All the stoves sold here in this region are rated for 29 mbar input pressure and hence this is the right regulator to be used for the stove/cooking range.

The stove is not burning properly
Most of the stoves / cooking appliances have adjustable air / gas mixer which may be required to be re -adjusted in line with the present output of gas.

If normal blue flame is visible on all burners then there is no need of any further adjustment. If yellow colored uneven flame is visible then the LPG/air mixture needs to be adjusted.

A small lever / rotating ring / adjustable sleeve is provided just adjacent to the burner end below gas stove / range which can be adjusted for proper air flow.

Gas is not coming
Ensure the regulator is engaged into the valve properly by hearing click sound and then the knob is in open position (Knob pointing upward). The Pressure Regulator is designed to cut off gas supply in case there is a heavy leak from the rubber tube.

After opening the regulator, wait for few second until the tube is filled with gas. In some cases, as the rubber tube is empty, the excess flow valve may close and the regulator knob to turn ON/OFF few times till the time the tube gets filled up. Try the knob on 2-3 times to ignite the burner for first time connection. Cylinder must be always kept in upright

Is there warranty on the regulator?
There is a 5 year warranty made available by the manufacturer against manufacturing defects which will be entertained only against proof of purchase and please instruct the consumers to keep the bills carefully. Warranty will not be applicable in case it is not used under normal conditions and is damaged by improper use.

Instructions for use are provided along with the regulator and please look for it inside the regulator box.

Can any other regulator fit on this valve?
Other regulators will not normally fit into this valve as this is a customized design. The ENOC / Emarat regulator has been specifically designed for this valve and approved by the authorities. Hence for your safety and to abide by the regulations you are advised to use only the approved regulators.

Is it compulsory to buy the cylinders with the new valve?
Yes, it is mandatory that all cylinders will have to be fixed with the newly approved valve and you are requested to cooperate with us to ensure speedy implementation of the regulations by being one of the first to change your cylinders and with the new valve and regulators you will have more convenience and added safety.

Can the new regulators be used for commercial applications like restaurants etc?
No, the 29 mbar regulator now introduced is only for domestic use. We will introduce regulators for commercial use at a later stage which will have higher pressure output taking into consideration different applications. Valves / Regulator Q & A
